Quite simply, the Borneo is a double skinned Kristi cabin. All the benefits of a multi roomed cabin but with additonal wall and ceiling insulation cavities. (Insulation material not supplied)

The Borneo Log House boasts double skinned walls and ceilings. Based on the Kristi, it is constructed from 44mm logs. The walls are built leaving a 50mm gap between the two sections for additional insulation and likewise, the ceiling has a 50mm cavity between the two 19mm tongue and groove top and inner skins.

NOTE: If you are going to use a different type of insulation - please consult with a specialist re roof construction as you may need to improve vapour draining system. We will not be responsible for any problems as a result of not following our recomendations.

All our double skinned cabins come with a double skinned roof as standard.
The external boards are attached to the top surface of the roof joist and the internal boards fixed to battens again attached to the roof joists- see the diagram below.
