So what log thickness should I choose ?

Our entry level 28mm cabins are regarded as our budget cabins. Great value for money and ideal for garden storage or limited to use during the summer months.

34mm Logs buys you a sturdier cabin with better insulation properties.

If considering using the cabin as perhaps a garden office then it is recommended to go for the 44mm logs. With insulation to the floor and roof, then some basic heating will see you keeping warm in the winter (unless conditions get extreme !)

Our thickest standard log section is 68mm. This constructs a sound, snug cabin and will give you years of good use with little maintenance

All the above dimensions refer to the full log length.

It includes the 80mm joint overhang in each corner. A cabin that is 3000mm (3.0m or 10ft) wide will have an external wall dimension of 3000 -(minus) 160 (x2 80mm joints, one each end of the log) which equals - 2840mm.

The internal size is, in this case 2840mm less the thickness of two wall logs 68 x2 = 136mm

Therefore a 3000mm wide cabin will have an internal dimension of approx. 2704mm
